Vehicle Purchase Rebates

CleanBC Go Electric Passenger Vehicle Rebate: Eligible individuals can receive up to $4,000 off the purchase or lease of a new battery electric vehicle (BEV) or hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (FCEV), and up to $2,000 for a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Rebate amounts are income-based and require pre-approval. Vehicles must have a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) below $50,000 for cars and $70,000 for larger vehicles like trucks and minivans.

SCRAP-IT Program: This program offers incentives up to $300 when you scrap your existing gas-powered vehicle. These incentives can be applied toward the purchase of a new or used EV or other low-carbon transportation options.


Home Charging Station Rebates

Single-Family Homes: Homeowners looking to install a Level 2 EV charger can receive a rebate covering up to 50% of the purchase and installation costs, to a maximum of $350. This applies to single-family homes, row homes, and duplexes.


Multi-Unit Residential Building (MURB) Rebates

EV Ready Rebates: A set of three cohesive rebates supports the costs of creating and implementing an EV Ready plan for your building, including purchasing and installing EV chargers.

Standalone EV Charger Rebate: Covers up to 50% of the costs, to a maximum of $2,000 per charger, for the purchase and installation of Level 2 networked EV chargers at residential parking spaces. A maximum of $14,000 in rebates is available per complex. Pre-approval is required before purchasing and installing an eligible EV charger.


Workplace Charging Rebates

Workplace EV Charger Rebate: Businesses can receive rebates covering up to 50% of the cost, to a maximum of $2,000 per charger, for the purchase and installation of eligible EV chargers for employee use. For multiple charger installations, this rebate can cover up to $14,000 per workplace. A business can apply for a maximum of four workplace sites, resulting in a maximum project rebate of up to $56,000.


Federal Incentives

Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles (iZEV) Program: As of January 12, 2025, the federal iZEV Program has been paused due to full allocation of funds. Businesses may still apply for the federal Incentives for Medium- and Heavy-Duty Zero-Emission Vehicles (iMHZEV) Program.


Additional Incentives

E-Bike Rebates: The CleanBC Go Electric Rebates program provides rebates up to $1,700 for businesses, public entities, and non-profits to purchase e-cargo bikes.
